“The Western Edge of a Dream”
A sketch, a model, a study…. an artist resides in a nearly constant state of editing.
To see The Notebook of William Blake…passages struck and replaced…or a line correction, still alive in a Leonardo drawing, is to witness that electric moment when an idea passes from the vault of a mind, to hand, to paper…and is revealed.
The work shown at the Kiosk Gallery is the genesis of a larger project. The pieces shown are more advanced elements and studies in the effort to refine both the process of making and the final edited version.
